What is the Affordable Care Act?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), otherwise known as ‘Obamacare,’ to put in simple terms, is health insurance! The purpose of  this Act is to increase health insurance coverage for those who are uninsured. People without health insurance are usually more likely to suffer declines in their overall health and delay severe medical problems that need care.

The Affordable Care Act does cover essential health benefits like:
